A Winning Trifecta of Rock
A fantastic evening of Southern Rock kicked off with 38 Special hitting the stage right on time. Their entire set, which lasted 55 minutes, was a rockin' success. Unfortunately, a few tunes had to be cut short due to time restrictions. 38 Special, as expected, delivered a fantastic performance, much to the delight of the energized crowd. The band, particularly Ronnie VanZant, engaged well with the fans. The standout moment was their stellar rendition of "Hold On Loosely". They truly are a solid band. I only went to see Bret Michaels out of curiosity, but he completely blew me away! Despite nearly facing death twice in the past year, Michaels put on a 45-minute show filled with infectious energy. Hailing from Pittsburgh, he expressed his excitement about performing in his hometown. His cover of Loggins and Messina's "Your Momma Don't Dance" was superb. The highlight came at the end of his set when his young daughters joined him on stage for a heartwarming rendition of "Nothing But A Good Time". Isabel LaRosa graced the stage at 9:30pm and delighted the audience until 11pm. The legendary Southern Rock band delivered hit after hit flawlessly, solidifying their status as the best in the genre. Their engagement with the crowd matched the intensity of 38 Special and Bret Michaels. The night ended on a high note with an unforgettable rendition of "Sweet Home Alabama" featuring Donnie VanZant and Bret Michaels. The audience's longing for "Freebird" was granted as the band closed the evening with the iconic song, capping off a fantastic rock night that hit all the right notes.
